If you get caught without your ‘Skin Relief Cream’ and need to reduce itching, or just want to add something to a bath, to aid in reducing itching – this is perfect.
Children will love the sweet smell of cinnamon and oats.
What you will need:
1 cup of rolled oats
½ cup of baking soda
½ cup of Epsom salts
½ tea spoon of ground cinnamon
Add some lavender, Calendula or Chamomile flowers if you have them.
Combine all ingredients in together and store in a glass jar. To use put ¼ cup – ½ cup of salts into a small cloth bag (I cut a piece of muslin and tie it with string once it is filled). Pop into a warm bath as it is running – leave the bag in there to seep during the entire soak.
Avoid using any soaps or shampoo on the irritated skin, just wash with a soft cloth. Soak for as long as you can, or until water cools down. Pat skin dry with a soft towel.
